Question Night Markets in Phuket????

I was watching the Travel Discovery Channel last night and they had a terrific program about Thailand called Bizarre Foods!!!! They showed some night markets which I thought were called Chalong Markets would this be right? It looked fascinating, can anyone tell me if there are night markets in Patong as we will be there in September for 10 days and would like to visit. Thanks, Karen

Chalong markets sounds right to me. Chalong is a district of Phuket, noted for having the island's most revered temple.

Default I lived

on the Chalong / Rawai road. Night market? Ok, a late market. A night market? Why shop at night? Yes, the market just down from the roundabout / traffic circle in Chalong went into the night. Does that make it a night market in the tourist perception sense? Nope. Best night markets are in Chaing Mai IMHO.

There are markets all over the place, but the real night market, the one filmed and broadcasted for bizarre foods, is in Phuket Town.
