Default My top 5

1. Have a full body 2 hour Thai massage.
2. Have dinner at one of the restaraunts overhanging the cliff on the roadside between Kata Beach and the viewpoint 10km south of Kata.Make sure you get there before sunset.
3.Have a Chang beer or 10 at one of the small bars on Bang La road and watch the passing show.
4. Go to Phi Phi Island and stay the night in a beach bungalow. Dont settle for a day trip as it is too rushed.
5. Hire a Jeep and spend a few days exploring the Island on your own time and speed.

Default Couple of suggestions

I would suggest you do the ATV Tour aswell. Such an experience.

Fantasea is also worth seeing.

We also thoroughly enjoyed the James Bond Island trip.

Cathy P also has some information on an Elephant Rehab Centre that sounds very good. You will need to check her reports for further info as she is actually in Phuket now.

Have a great holiday.

Get some clothes made!

Don't go to those Indian guys around Bangla Rd but have a talk to some of the Hotel staff.

I have a guy who makes tailor made suites and shirts for me ( I won't mention his name unless you ask). He also does Ladies clothes.

Eh? There are roads on Phi Phi now?

Default Nice Threads?

Hi Anthony,
I have been many times but never bothered getting a suit or a jacket made, allways thought that the quality was a bit dubious! But must admit never really had a good look, but now i need to wear suits or at least jackets, nothing too flashy, how do they stack up to suits off the rack in australia for quality and price, any info on type of fabric etc and you may as well give your tailor a free plug! s

Take a trip on the sea canoes. Most of the tourist booths and travel agents offer these.
You can go on trips which have someone to do all the paddling (that's my kind of boat trip!)
We had a trip booked but it was cancelled because of rough seas. Very disappointed.

No Fio, as you so rightly point out, there are no roads on Phi Phi. However, if you read the original question, we were asked to state must do's for Phuket. Take an overnight trip to Phi Phi was one of my must do's and hire a jeep and travel around (Phuket) was another.

Mr Singh's Fashion Gallery 26/2 Rat-Uthit Rd., Patong Beach, Phuket
TEL: (076) 345037-39.

Not the cheapest place in town but had 3 Suites (wearing one now made 2 years ago and no problem) and 6 shirts made by them and all really good quality. The thing I like about the store most of all is that he employs Thai's to do the actual tailoring.
