Question Perscription medication

Are you able to take Perscribed Medication in the Box clearly labeled, my husband is on Cholesterol medication( Crestor) and will need to take that with him when we leave for Thailand. Or should I go to the Dr. and get a letter.?

scroll down, just did meds to thailand, bit interesting as i didn't know the correct policy and used to travel back and forth, without script or letter or notifying anyone of travel plans.

Travelling to Thailand with medication?

from that thread, narcotics control board are supposed to be notified off travel with meds, before travelling. go figure.

Hi all. Received the following fax from the narcotics control division thailand today and i quote. "Suboxone is classified as a pschotropic substance of category 2..... you can carry for personal use a quantity not exceeding 30 days supply with a certificate or document from your doctor". Was very happy to finally recieve confirmation on this. Just thought i'd put this up for future travellers to Thailand who are taking Suboxone. Happy travels everybody.

Take a copy of prescription .
Here in UK Customs and Excise have a list of medicines/drugs and what is required , sure Australia have same if not look at UK Customs and Excise web site as the entry requirements will be same from wherever you come from .

That's because I was travelling with a controlled narcotic, basically morphine. a little different from cholesterol medication. I'd still get a letter from your doctor just to be safe.

Anything that's in a prescription bottle with your name on it is going to be okay.
