Bali Palm Christmas in Thailand

We are looking to spend Christmas in Thailand as part of our travels. We have an idea of spending Christmas day on a beach with a beer and some lovely thai food. Any suggestions as to where? We are not looking for anything touristy or very busy...

Everywhere where you can relax on a beach with a beer and some lovely Thai food will be busy & touristy (with either foreign or Thai tourists) at Xmas. However, as tourism numbers are expected to be down this coming Xmas you may as well head for Samui and try one of the less crowded beaches.
