Hi. My family will be visiting Thailand in October for two weeks and need a little help. My dad can't walk/climb much so we're looking for a nice hotel very near or connected to a BTS station. If it's not connected, hopefully there's an escalator? Ideally, breakfast would be included too. Most likely we will hire someone to do the River Kwai/floating market/some temples. Any other suggestions on what we can do/see that doesn't require lots of mobility?

For access to the BTS your best bet is Sukhumvit, there are stacks of hotels to suit all budgets up & down Sukhumvit and in the side sois. When you get to your hotel in BKK you'll find the free tourist magazines at the reception and in them are ads for all the daytrips and activities. I always like to do a ChaoPhyra river trip, have dinner at a riverside restaurant, if you do a river trip in the day you can take in a few of BKKs most famous temples too. Breakfast is generally included with most BKK hotels, but if not there are a zillion places to eat on Sukhumvit.

Hi Mate - I will also be in BKK in October - but only for 3 days - I have a guide already organised so if you are there 28/29/30 then no good but any other date try this girl BUT insist its her and noy one of her employees Bangkok Tour with Tong there are a few hotels I could reccommend in Sukhumvit as BobMac says prob the best place to stay - a very good one would be President Park Bangkok Hotel and Serviced Apartment Official Site at the top of soi 24 / 22 this is a prime position for transport and ease of access to sites etc etc depending on budget - you can e mail me if you like with any q's on Bkk - I am not an expert but I do know and love BKK
