Default 14 Days In Thailand

Hi, there!
I have 12 days to spend in Thailand in july, is not a big term. anyone has any suggestions on how should i spend it? i've never been Thailand. I'll reach and leave from Bangkok. For Thailand, is it a nice season for travel? or any must-go palaces for recommendation?
Thax!

Location: It varies. I generally try and avoid being in cold miserable places.

Need more info about budget and what kind of things you like doing! As far as weather is concerned... well it'll be hot, that's for sure. There is usually less rain on the Gulf side at that time of year so if you're looking for a beach, consider Ko Phangan, Ko Tao or Samui ....

Default Recommend These Places:

Been to Thailand many times.

Places recommended checking out are:

ayutthaya - the old capital of Thailand, lots of historical stuff like temples etc to get abit of history while on your journey. Take a trip on a rice barge etc.

Kanchanaburi - see the effects of WWII (and if you are an aussie like me you can check out hellfire pass and also the war cemetary to get an understanding of what aussie POW's went through). One of my favourite towns in Thailand.

Trekking Chaing Mai - check out the hill tribe people etc.

I use the following people on my trips and find them really good.

ayutthaya-boat
good-times-travel Kanchanaburi
nutty-adventures trekking, bicycling and other stuff

Hope someone finds this useful.
