Smile Bangkok Guides & Drivers (for Garlar)

Here is a list of guides & drivers you can hire for private tours. May be cheaper than hotel tours etc
A. Tong and her team (Charlie, Jerry, Jai, etc…)- Licensed guides; pornpitcha@yahoo.com, tourwithtong@yahoo.com

B. Nok- unlicensed guide/personal assistant; nan_ke80@yahoo.co.uk

C. Ratt and her team- Ratt is an unlicensed driver, but does have members of her team who are licensed guides; rat_bkk@hotmail.com or www.ratservice.com

D. Tan- licensed guide; izthai@gmail.com or izthai.com

E. Nook- licensed guide; cnnchinlawan@hotmail.com

F. Celine and her team- licensed guides; siritom@hotmail.com

G. Julie’s Taxi- Unlicensed driver, but a licensed guide can added for an additional fee; Home Page

I also have photos of Tong and her car, plus Nok.
HIRING GUIDES & DRIVERS.

At least with all of the above you could plany your day and check exact cost before you leave.

Cathy--I finally got some replies to emails. Tell me if I'm on the right track please;
2 full days in Bangkok--fully rested--we have Sat and Sun to see everything. Hubby wants to see Kwai and we both want elephant trek and as much culture as possible.
Hire someone like Nok for first day to use public transport, see local temples, eat fun stuff (no weirdness!) and take boat ride.
Next day get driver/guide like Tong for full day--go to Kwai, , etc.

Once we get a taste of Bangkok, take the train on Monday to Hua Hin for 5 night spa (already booked).
We return BKK Friday for one last day to complete trip in Thailand before we go to Tokyo.
Are we asking too much? IS that a reasonable way to get a taste of the city, etc?
Thanks so much for the guide info--all very appreciated.

Hi kyshel,
Sorry its taken me so long to reply.
I dont think your asking to much, as your not there that long, see as much as you can. We have never used Nok or Tong before but they come highly recommended by many people. Plus they will both suggest good things to do as well.
When do you head off?
Cathy

we leave on Halloween and really are expecting a fab time--your tips are so helpful! The AKA Resort was a mystery auction I got at Luxurylink.com (for a steal!!) so that's what prompted our trip to Thailand. We wanted to do Bali first, but we'll just do that later! Thanks again!

CathyP, have you used Celine's group before? They seem very reasonable... almost too good to be true. Just wondering if you had any experience with them or had heard anything.
