Kata Tailors

Any recommendations on Tailors in the Kata or Karon Beach areas.
We are staying at Kata Beach Resort for 2 weeks in October 2009.
Also any feedback on this hotel will be appreciated.

none at those resorts I am afraid but in Pattong you will probably find them cheaper and easier to deal with - are you spending anytime in BKK as I can tell you a very good one there - BTW will be back in October myself having just arrived back some 3 weeks ago

having stayed at kata beach resort 2 times and going back on the 24/7/09, we use the chinese tailor in kata beach Mr Roney, you still have to bata, but we and many friends have used them and found them to be very good. Turn right when you go out of the main entrance of Kata resort, and head about 100 meters to the end of the t intersection, diagonal is a money exchange that will give you good rates, so dont use the resort. Kata beach resort is great, dont get caught in the trap of spending too much at the bars, as the man on the beach sells beers etc for one third of the price. seven eleven across the road also sell beer cheaper.

This chinese tailor(south end of kata) isn't very polite. Very bad service, couldn't stand the fact that we didn't order anything. We recommend to use somebody else.. there is plenty to choose from.

We were walking by and called us bad people, stupid and mean because we didn't buy anything. So now we hope that nobody uses his services and his business goes down. He has to learn to be a better loser.
