Taxi from Phuket Airport to Patong

Has anyone taken a taxi from Phuket Airport to Patong Beach recently and if so, what is the current rate.

Hi there, we went by metered taxi from the airport to the northern end of Patong Beach (near Gracelands) and total cost was 400 baht. This was 300 on the meter and 100 you pay at the outside desk - NOT inside.

Two years on, can you still expect to pay 400 Baht for a taxi from Phuket Airport to Patong? Presumably the hike in fuel prices has sent taxi fares upwards... anyone been lately who can give us an updated price? Thanks!

Copunt on 500 baht (including airport surcharge) from airport to Patong, about 100 Baht more to go to Kata or Karon. With 'limousine service' 100 Baht more expensive.

Otober 2011 it was 500 baht to the same place in Patong from the airport in the meter taxi, only difference was we had to pay the whole lot to the driver this time, it is a set price that includes the 100baht airport surcharge, so no meter used. (was like this in 2010 as well).

Hi just wondering how long it takes to get from phuket airport to patong beach by car?

It normally takes about 40 minutes, if traffic is good.
