no idea who is sam's tailor, but if you're around sukhumvit, would recommend you give Crown Tailors, Sukhumvit soi 8 a try! They get the job well done over there!

Default Excelsior tailor in Bangkok

I have been using Excelsior on many occasion and have been very happy with them. I have purchased couple of wool suits and egyption cotton.
Wool generally makes a good suit. It drapes nicely, tailors well and looks formal and nice. Contrary to popular belief, light weight wool is even good for the summer, and in most cases better than silk blended fabrics.
They are located somewhere in the business district of Silom and

Default Another recommendation

As you have a few good replies and recommendations, i thought i'd add another.
If you are in the Khao San Road area, i would happily recommend Amit, Aviv or Buddy Fashion house's. They are owned by the same pair of brothers and i have been using them for 5 years. I even got them to travel up to Aberdeen when they were in London, and introduced then to 7 friends and colleagues who all placed orders.
One friend's mother is a trained tailoress (retired) and gave her son's suit a once-over and could not find fault. Until then, i was happy with the workmanship and fit etc, but to have this confirmed by some-one who really does know good from average was a good feeling.

Thumbs down Buddy Fashion House

I went to Buddy Fashion House for a ladies suit. The suit had a terrible fit, looked like it was made for a man. Staff were very rude and reluctant to make alterations. Would not recommed this store.

They have 2 other branches in the Khoa San area - Amit Fashion and Amur fashion so would not go there either!

As a rule of thumb I avoid Indian tailors.
