Default Muang Samui, Chaweng

We are planning to stay at Muang Samui for 9 days in July.

We wanted a pool view junior suite but there are none available, and so we will be staying in a garden view junior suite.

Has anybody stayed in this type of room before? I’d be grateful for any feedback, and advice such as which floor to stay on (I’m thinking the middle level, ie one up from the ground, but not the top floor) … also is one side of the hotel complex “better” (ie quieter) than the other …

Last year we stayed next door at the Iyara Plaza which was lovely but the rooms are very bare and minimal and quite small, and the furniture was not very comfortable (nowhere to sit in the room apart from the bed, and the outdoor furniture was shocking!) although we had a beach front cabana which had the most exquisite views and was so peaceful and tranquil and right on the beach.

We just found that we spent so much time at Muang Samui as their restaurant, grounds, spa etc were all so much nicer, and so we decided we would give it a try for our next visit.

Thanks so much for any comments/feedback.
