Just testing if I can post a topic without it going through a moderator?

I posted a reply to Joh a few hours ago and it said my post had to be checked by a moderator before it would be allowed to be put up. But it has just let me do all this ok

OK Cathy, yes you are right your posting and the "try again" repeat were sent for moderation as part of the anti-spam scripts on this site (no offence). What happens is people who have not posted a certain number of times, IF they post containing certain words (viagra for example) or if they try to post a link to another site, the post is sent for moderation. Once you get above a certain number of posts (I do not want to disclose this number) you will be able to post certain things which required moderation (approval) before. This has to be done because of the HUGE (and I mean huge) amount of spam postings these days on forums. You see, spammers post messages with the URL's of their sites in order to affect their site's search engine ranking (the more times search engines se their site's link on other people's sites, it is taken as a vote. I know your message was not spam though It should now be where you wanted it.

Once you have posted 5 times, you become a Travelforum Newbie, 20 times a Travelforum Member, 100 times a Travelforum Regular, 200 Times a Travelforum Addict, 500 times your title changes to Travelforum On The Brain and if you ever get to 1000 posts you become a Travelforum Fossil
