I bet you feel a bit like 'hello mudder... hello farder, here I am at camp Granada" right now, I know I did when we went to Samui a few years ago.
It bucketed down for a week. We were staying at the Chewang Regent and the hotel was sand bagged as was the main street (them bags look well used) It turned out there was a typhoon in the Philippines and Samui was on the edge of the depression. No correction we were the ones with the depression as we'd never seen rain like it. Those that were 'winging it' left the island for drier parts and all the planes were full and not a spare seat to be had... it was a mystery how the planes got up in the air with all that wet washing
Sad thing was we had met up with my old school friend and husband from England and it rained the whole time during their stay, However, the day they left the rains stopped and the sun came out... we moved to a cheaper hotel in Lamai for another week, the weather was wonderful and all was forgiven and we had a great time.
Since then we always carry plastic ponchos... up to now they are still in their packet unused. Fingers crossed they stay there !!
Let us

the rain stops soon for you.
Cheers Geri
