Aloha & Sawasdee,

Try this to start. Dr. Phira Sitthiamnuai was recommended to me from American expatriate living in BKK. Dr. Sithiamnuai eared his degree from Tufts University in US and practiced ten years in US. President Park Dental Care A full service facility with periodontal care available.

Default Dentists

There are hundreds and hundreds of good dentists in Bangkok and all the main hospitals have dental departments. Most dentists speak excellent English as they have usually done post-graduate specialist training abroad (often in the States). The standards of hygiene are as good if not better than in the West. You often don't even need to make an appointment ...a dentist will see you immediately. I have used Smile Clinic (opposite the British Embassy (nearest BTS stop is Chitlom) several times and the quality of the work was better than with my dentist in France. It's very popular with both expats and visitors but I don't know if it's the best...I've yet to meet anyone who wasn't satisfied with the dental care they received from ANY dentist in Thailand.

Check out prices maybe ...they vary a lot. Here's a list of dentists from the FAQ section of Lonely Planet Thorntree for your further perusal.

Hey.....Fio, thanks so much for that awesome site. I just love it. I have added about 10 new great sites to my favorites as a result of this forum in the last week.

I've sent out a couple of emails for dental info. After I get replies I'm going to ask more questions. My girlfriend tells me Bangkok can be a nightmare traffic wise, so I want to be sure that I'm located in a totally convenient location...thanks for all the great information.
