Default How much CAD...

Hi, I'm thinking of visiting Thailand for a month. I was wondering what standard necessities might cost in CAD or the local baht... and how much CAD you might need to live there for about a month in a cheap apartment. Thank you!

Default The problem comes

that rental property is generally minimum 6 months to a year contract, BUT if you find a house available it may pay you to ask, for a slightly higher rent. Decent house rentals in say Phuket, modern with some aircon, 3 beds are around 500 Baht a month, so maybe you can find one available and offer 750 baht for the month, so less for something smaller. Eating cheap is not a problem especially if you go to the local markets and eat tons of seasonal produce. Really, it costs peanuts. If you eat at the local Thai restuarants, it is still very cheap. I guess you could get somewhere to stay and feed yourself for 1000 Baht for the month no problem.

Question Mark...When did you stop living in Thailand?

Shouldn't you be adding a zero at least on those prices? I'd say 20,000B/month would be a minimum for me .... although I do tend to spend some time in BKK, use transport and drink the odd beer ...
