Warning to all u expats or anyone for that that matter please dont stay there when i stayed there i got robbed big time from there staff and they conviently blamed the ladie i had the night before.
That was very convenient for there staff i wholeheartedly know it wasnt her as i made sure everything was in tact before she left,They were all sure it was her when it wasnt her and how i was treated afterwards was nothing short of disgracefull i norrowed it down to two or three but i couldnt prove anything so they treated me like i was a piece of **** but believe me please avoid this hotel the axpats,

There are a couple of lessons to be learned from your story timios - never keep $2000 in your hotel room (that's what reception safe boxes are for) especially when you are bringing prostitutes back to your hotel room.
And always report any theft to the Tourist Police, I know they're not much use but you do stand a slight chance of recovery if it was the staff.
I'd be interested in who advised you not to contact the Tourist Police and why.

The staff in most hotels /guest houses work hard to keep their regular jobs and wouldnt stay long if they were pilfering from guests.
