I have always bought my mobile phones in Bkk but never a camera phone. Last year I bought one in Dubai and when I returned to Australia, I could not use the MMS feature on the phone. Can anyone tell me if the same applies to phones bought in Thailand?

Cellphones now work to the same International standards, just maybe one of two signal type / frequency variations. So I do not understand why your Dubai phone would not work in Australia unless you did not have a certain network feature activated there. This can be the case as I have had problems with datalinks using mobile phones where some country's carriers do not enable the data able network side unless you ask them. I see absolutely no reason why a phone bought in Tibet wouldn't work in Peru, so I am sure a phone you buy in Thai will work in Aus!
