Any hints?
Also is it easy getting a taxi from Bangkok airport to city? Should I be worried?

Thumbs up taxi's

hi there no need to worry about taxi's just head for the meatred taxi rank and dont be bullied by the private taxi touts or limousine services.
A taxi into the city will cost approx 300-400 baht.
have a great trip it's a fantastic city you wont be lost for things to do.

Default Bangkok First Timer Help

You can get a meter taxi at the airport for cheap; just say, "meter taxi" and people will point you in the right direction to the ticket stand - its directly outside the airport as you exit. Don't deal with any other taxis.

Taxi prices are going up this month but to be honest 400bht is peanuts for the distance you travel from the airport to BKK and return.

If you have to pay buy fixing a taxi price 5 or 600 it is still cheap as chips compared to anywhere else in the world.

I got a private (Limo type) From Pratenum to the airport on Friday for 600 bht no extra 25bht for tollway, as the taxi,s cant fit 2 suitcases in the boot because of the gas cylinder, and it was well worth it not to have the luggage sitting in the seat with me.

Hotel limo,s start at 800 up but you can bargain with them as I did.

Thumbs up First timer - returned

I just wanted to say thank you for the help I received about getting a taxi from the airport to the city. I just got back home on the weekend. We had a great time and thanks to the information I had got, knew exactly where to go for the taxi and to be firm asking for a "METER" price and have money ready for the tolls. I don't know what I was worried about. The speed he was travelling at should've been my main concern
We also did a fantastic tour with "Pook" from Tour with Tong, to the Floating Markets, River Kwai & Tiger Temple. It was the best day and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend their services.
