Default Tailor in Phuket

Hello All, I've been told that having a suit made up, jacket and dress would be more costly than in Australia. Can anyone verify or advise of a good tailor in Phuket?

Thanks for the info - wow - $85 is a bargain. I'll keep a look at for Tonys.

If you will be in Patong, there is one that comes highly recommended. It is "Mr. Singh Fashion Gallery" and it is at 2 Ratuthit Road, Patong.
Ive just come back, and I didnt get any clothes made up, but as I said, this guy was highly recommended.

I agree with you that $85 for a suit, shirt and tie is gr8 value. Years ago suits used to cost hundreds. Now ... they are much cheaper here and you can get one for b/n $50-$100, but not really good quality and you then usually have to pay to get pants hemmed and jacket not really good fitting. At least with tailor made suits, they are exactly that - made to fit your body!

Thanks Kitty. I think I might take some photos from here of what I'd like just in case. I got a couple of suits made up in Bali & they were excellent make and even better price.

Any idea on the price of massages?

Default Massages

You are best to get these done on the beach or small shops, unless you have money to burn! If you get any kind of treatment done at your hotel, it will be 3-4 times the price you can get it on the beach! On the beach, a one hour full body massage will be 300bt ($10) a manicure or pedicure or foot massage will be 200bt each ($7) and this is money very well spent!!!!! We also had a lovely 1hr foot massage in a small shop in soi post office and I think it was 250bt. Small shops are just prob a little bit dearer than on the beach.
