Default Now I really need some help....!!!!

regarding my previous post and Patong Merlin renovations general response was we should change resorts. Now my question is where do we move to???? We have friends staying at Horizon Beach Resort but did not want to book there as they will not guarantee interconnecting rooms and our kids are aged 10 & 13 so too young not to be next door..!! PLease help with some suggestions of resorts in the area as we have never been to Phuket before... Thanks in advance..Kylie

Hasn't your travel agent offered alternatives? Doesn't sound like your travel agent is on the ball. He/she should be showing you brochures and offering suggestions. Maybe time to pop into some other travel agents and have a chat.

We stayed at Patong Beach end of March, very central but due for refurbishing, staff & Management very helpfull and friendly, pretty good breakfast but we didn't eat other meals at the Hotel , they also have adjoining rooms.

Good luck.

Default Sea, Sun & Sand

When I was in Phuket last October, I spoke to some Australian tourists who had been staying at the Sea, Sun & Sand Resort and they told me they had money stolen from their safe. Apparently numerous other tourists were robbed also and the police did nothing. If you go to Trip Advisor you will read numerous negative reports about the situation and one of them, from a tourist who was well known to the staff. I'd give it a wide berth.

Hi Timios,
I was speaking to four of the people it happened to, 2 middle aged couples. Apparently they were quite happy with the resort until the robbery. It was bad enough that it happened, but made worse by the fact that the police pretended to arrest the maid, after the video evidence showing the theft and then let her go after they got to the front of the hotel. The people were so angry, but more with how they were treated after the event, rather than the actual theft. I meant to write a warning on here but I totally forgot until I read your post.
