Default Cooking class??

Hello all,
Just in the throes of planning a visit to Thailand for ourselves and a friend who's a first-timer to Thailand.

She wants to do a cooking class in either Pattaya or Bangkok. Can anybody make a recommendation please?

Hi Kimbo

Richard Olofson wrote quite a bit on cooking classes last year, suggest you check out his old posts for some good recommendations.

Thanks sue in wales and FTSE.
I've checked Richard's postings re. the classes and will diary the info. Seeing we'll be staying in either Silom or Sathorn I think the ones Richard suggests would be most convenient.

Smile cooking classes

Hi Kimbo

I was going to do a class last year but time got away and we did other things. I had done a bit of research and came up with the Blue Elephant Cooking classes in BKK. I think classes were about 3000 bt upwards , depending on what you want. The school has been highly recommened on the net. They have a good website with plenty of info on it for you.

Default How about Bai Pai in Bangkok

Hope I'm not too late - haven't logged on for a while as I'm just back from 12 days in Samui!

I've been to Baipai Cooking School in Bangkok - absolutely fabulous. A gorgeous contemporary Thai house not far from the tourist area of Siam. Open air, class size is max of 10 and everyone has their own cooking station. It is totally brilliant, I've been four times now.

They send a nice a/c minivan to collect you from your hotel and drive you back.

Highly, highly recommended - a fabulous half day, so enjoyable and worthwhile.

Think it's around A$75 including transfers.

Kin Khao!
