I could have done it a lot cheaper but hey we are both in our mid-late 40's and need air con and buffet breakfast!

Yep, sounds good fishy. I know The Island resort at Chaweng beach and it's very nice, great location. I'll email my mobile number to you so give me a call when you spend those 3 nights in BKK. I'm going to BKK often now (since the missus got transfered there a month ago) so there's a good chance we can catch up for a beer.
