After over a very painful hour on the phone with Telstra, they have informed me that Thailand does not support data services in Thailand! Phone calls and text messages are fine, but apparently there is no email service.

I find this hard to believe as Thailand is such an advanced country.

Has anybody managed to use a Telstra Blackberry (or similar mobile device) in Thailand and received/sent emails? If so, was it hideously expensive to send/receive email?

I'd love any advice!

I find that hard to believe! Telco,s in Thailand are cheaper than here and I think more advanced?

Telstra possibly cant provide you with all services on international roam.
