Hi we are coming to Patong mid JUly. Will it be raining most of the time or will we still be able to use the beach/pool? We were planning on going to Phi Phi. Will the weather there be Ok or is there somewhere else that is more protected?

April to November on the Andaman coast side is the monsoon/wet period so a very big chance you are going to see rain & most likely plenty of it.Even if it`s not raining more than likely the beach won`t be too flash depending on what the weather has been like but you may well get good enough weather for a few days to hang around the pool.

The islands on the Gulf of Thailand side are normally a better & safer bet for good weather in July.

I dont know how the weather works but other than "April" it has rained in Thailand somewhere along the way every time I have been there. Not much,well plenty in Bkk! It will be tropical,it might rain or it might not,but never enough to ruin my holiday!

We have had the wettest "April" on record in Perth Australia,have I noticed it? No.I only know about it because the weather reader 0n the news keeps telling us so.

The worst I had was 3 days rain in Pattaya,but it was sill hot and sticky.

Sorry forgot to say but am sure october is the wettest season in Phuket? Thats what I wastold when I was there in october some years ago.
