Default Jax - where are you now??

According to your rough itinery, you should be in Vietnam - so just wondering how thats all going? Vietnam is a whole other world - even more crazy and chaotic (I think) than Thailand, and certainly not as tourist orientated - not yet anyway!

So ... drop a line and let us all know where you are and how its all goingt.

Kitty

"Google" Ken Diamond travel in Hua Hin. I've used them for the past nine years on our trips to Hua Hin. They are a Hua Hin based travel company with a very good reputation.

They will send a driver at no cost to you from Hua Hin to pick you up anwhere in Bangkok. They use Volvos and Mercedes. The drivers are skilled and safe (although the last one we had drove at around 150kph, although not dangerously!).
That trip took 2.25 hours, but usually allow 2.5+ hours.

The cost was $2500 baht each way which is well worth it door to door. In Hua Hin you will find their office just down the soi from the Hilton Hotel.

Just looked up Fish Taco in the Urban Dictionary. I had no idea that's what the nick meant. A bit on the coarse side.

It was used for a username and my email address way before it had that meaning in the urban dic, It was taken from a a Dick Dale song for the name of a band i was in many years ago, still similar to it but nowhere near as crude!

Nevertheless you were obviously well aware of the crude/coarse meaning of your original handle when you told me to look up the meaning. Strange name for a happily married man to use. Didn't your missus "Tracey" object?

So you were in a band Den? Interesting. What did/do you play? I'm actually about to buy a 2nd hand MIJ Tele in BKK, going for just over $AUD500, would cost 3-4 times that in Perth.
Anyway, I notice you changed your nick to "Fishy" That's much nicer.

Fio! Tracey and I on are equal standing my "handle" Is up to me!

After the bit of "Word fight" we had last week, she was the one who told me to tell you to look it up,which I now regret!

Why dont we start off on a new foot and perhaps become friends? Afteral it looks like you are the one in a better position to advise me on Thailand
even though we dont agree on Samet.

Or "Ping Pong" shows!

Default We used Ken Diamond in 2006 to go from HH to our hotel in Bangkok.

It took about 2-3 hours, and they suggested a stop mid way at ?Ratchaburi?Petchaburi, can't remember name of the town, but there is a summer palace and temple high on a hill there, which you reach by a wonderful funicular rail thing. it was a beautiful place and made it feel like you had done something useful with the day, instead of just travelling from one place to another. Cost about 2000. check out the ken diamond website. Have fun.
