Default Electricity plugs

Hi again guys... I have another question.

Where is the best place to buy the power point adapter- so you can use Australian electrical things ( mobile phone, camera charges etc) in Thailand?

I'm assuming Thai plugs are not the same shape as here in Aus????

Any help would be great!

Thanks Grace

Buy a world travel plug adaptor before you go they are only $7-$10 and you can get them from the airport or duty free shops in OZ.

also take a small extension board with 4 plug outlets as the thai plugs are 2 streight flat pins, this way you can also use and charge ipods ect from one outlet (saves unplugging bar fidge or Tv in hotel room) Then throw it away if you have too much luggage to bring home.

Also Grace a really good tip because you will be travelling about is to buy some roll up vacume seal bags, this cuts down on the size of your luggage as its quite hard travelling about with big suitcases.

you can get them cheap from Woolies or Kmart, and then use them for dirty cloths on your way home.

Don't buy before you go. Universal adapters are available everywhere in Thailand and cost less than they do in the West. Thai plugs are either two pin ...sometimes flat, sometimes round ....or three pin.

Vacuum seal bags is a good idea but don't you need a vacuum cleaner to take out the air.

take notice of Fio if you think $7- $10 is too much to pay for a world plug and spend a bit of your holiday time buying one in Thailand.

In actual fact why dont you pack your cloths in plasic bags and buy some bags and cases in Thailand, they are also a lot cheaper there, and am sure Fio knows the cheapest place for the best ones.
