before i jet set my way to thailand, just a few questions.. if anyone can help i'll be greatful.

1. can i get away with wearing thongs at a night club? i don't want to have excess weight in my suitcase from my shoes.

2.what is the name of the main international airport? because there are 2 and my reciepts don't tell us where were landing.

3. do tuk tuk fit 3 people? one is a giant

4.around how much will i need for a week in bangkok, considering all im planning to do is shop, drink and party with 1 or two touristy things?

1. Good job you qualified the first sentence by mentioning shoes....at first I thought you were talking about underwear.
Well, Thais wear flipflops a lot so you might get away with it. Otherwise buy a pair of cheap shoes here... 199B sandals that would get you in no problem are on sale everywhere. Dump em before you go home if you don't want to keep them. (I'm presuming you're female as you mention shopping later on)

2. There is only one international airport in Bangkok. It's called Suvarnabhumi (pronounced something like suwannapoom). The IATA code is BKK. The old international airport (Don Mueang) is only used for domestic flights now... IATA code DMK

3. No, not if one is a giant.

4. No idea. Too vague. It all depends how much you buy, how much you drink, how much you party and what touristy things you want to do.

Thailand can be cheap or expensive depending on what you do and weather your party of 3 are male or female or both.

Food is quite cheap if you dont eat in touristy resturants or hotels,same as drinks,Hotels can charge 10 times the price for a beer that you get in a 7 11 or local shop.

Cloths are really cheap if you stay away from high end original designer shops.

Drunk western guys on holiday in thailand spend heaps of money on drink and bars,and if you have the money to do so then fine.

We spend on average $50 each per day which pays for food transport and shopping, some would spend that just on food but I dont see the point in throwing away your money.

If you tell us where you are staying and want to do you can get a lot of help from board members.

Bangkok proper nightclubs do have dress codes and you are unlikeley to get in unless dressed in shoes and shirt,bar type clubs dont seem to care much.

Thailand is not like Bali but I find it cheaper and better.
