Maenam or Phangang or both?

I am not sure weather it is worth splitting our time (9 nights)in samui into 3 places? our original idea was to have a few nights at Chewang beach,Phangang and then Maenam beach, but now am wondering weather we should just stick to 2 places like Chewang 3 nights and Phangang 6 nights. If Maenam is fairly quite and not much around the area then i am thinking i may as well be on Phangang?
Its not as if we will miss out on buying stuff as we have 3 nights in BKK before we fly out.

Any thoughts from experienced Samui travelers would be great.
