The ones that are fried are OK the ones that aren't are alive, lurking and kicking.

Never been hungry enough to contemplate eating a spider, though I imagine that the hairy little suckers might stick in the throat, so I'd need a lot to drink to wash it down an a HELL OF A LOT to drink to even give it serious consideration.

Saw an article once that said in our average lifetime we probably eat/swallow hundreds of spiders (Small ones) while we are asleep.

I guess that will make you feel less Paranoid

Swallowing spiders while we sleep!!! Just shudder thinking about that one. I know I've swallowed flies & mozzies just by having my gob open at the wrong time. Never been aware of spiders. This reminds me of something I read once: If you spat into a glass all day long and then at the end of the day when the glass was full with saliva somebody told you to drink it down you would be revolted and probably vomit while trying to drink it. Yet we all swallow a couple of glasses of saliva every day and think nothing of it. Isn't life amazing?

Have seen carts on the main street of BK with deep fried critters but averted the eyes and walked fast--therefore no harm done. Can honestly say that I have never encountered anything insect or critter on my trips to Thailand or Bali that I haven;t already experienced at home. Actually i can;t remember ever seeing spiders in either of the afore mentioned destinations.(exceptions are the fried variety)
My bug bear is the dreaded mossies who think that i am a smorgasbord--but then Aerogard tropical soon puts them in their place.
Cheers laurs
