Hi Grace,
You will love the Banana Fan. Just make sure that you dont get a room too near reception. Some of these rooms back onto the internal travel agents office and can be a bit noisy. I am not sure of the room numbers. We upgraded to a deluxe bungalow and have had a great , quiet location. What price did they end up offering you? Was it even cheaper than on sawadee? If so, you have done very well. Whilst in Krabi, make sure you go to the hot springs/waterfall. Very unique experience. We hired a car and drove there from Ao Nang. It was very easy to find. There are many organised tours that will stop there but you are better off going by yourself, even if you hire a driver for the day.
On Samui, a great day trip is to the Marine Park. They take you to some good snorkling spots and then to a great little Island where you have lunch and you can spend a few hours kayaking around the park. I also really enjoy the "Zip-line tree canopy adventure". It is a series of flying foxes that run through some beautiful rainforest.
If you have any other questions I would be pleased to help where I can.

Hi there

Yes, we got a deluxe bungalow for about 500 BHT cheaper than advertised on Sawadee..( per night). I thought it couldn't hurt to ask! I had nothing to lose!our bungalow is right behind the beach front ones, I again requested this and hey had no problem! so far away from reception and close to pool AND beach!
The flying fox in Samui sounds great. do you remember approx cost? and how do I book?
thanks!

Hey Grace,
I've also booked the Thara Patong for June (hope its good). Don't know if you've already got it all sewn up but just to let you know that Agoda.com has special deals for this hotel & its worked out to approx $65AUD per night for a deluxe room (cheaper for superior rooms). I've used a few different sites to book accom & find Agoda & Asiarooms to be the best rates & good service. I've even tried contacting some hotels direct & giving them the rates from Asiarooms but they never say they can match or beat them.
