We stayed at the Aloha some years ago when it was $25 pp a night. I have noticed their prices have hiked up since then.
The hotel was fabulous for the money. However, they had bungalows and some of them were tucked up around the back overlooking the rubbish and the kitchens... the people staying in those bungalows were very unhappy so you wouldn't want to be in them. The bungalows nearer the beach seemed to be OK with no complaints.
We stayed in a ground floor hotel room and was able to access the pool and beach from the patio.
The beach is really lovely with hawkers selling their wonderful corn on a stick cooked on the spot.
Position of the Aloha is fabulous and lots of bars and restaurants just outside. Hope this helps
