Default Help wanted child Kidnapped

My brother Mike Harrison has kidnapped his son Joel aged 8 and is believed to be in the Phuket area.

His was last known (3 weeks ago) to live near Tesco's /Lotus and in a yellow building.

Mike, Mick or Michael is Australian, 48, has lived in Thailand for the past 15 or so years, speak a bit of Thai and always has a new Thai girlfriend. He is about 5'10" toned but quite heavy set, blue eyes and blonde hair. Has an aggressive nature or very withdrawn.

The police in Thailand are looking for him, and so is the Kaow the mother of the children.

Joel is mixed raced very cute and has dark blond hair and big for his age.

Joel was supposed to return to their mother on 27 March and my niece Jacinta was supposed to come to me in NZ after an access visit with their father and grandmother in Melbourne. I have tracked Jacinta down to Melbourne and I am flying there in the next couple of days to retrieve her.

Both kids are subject to court orders issued in 2004, and they have been kidnapped on and off since 2000.

We are out of our minds with worry, so please fellow forumites if you are in Phuket or anywhere in Thailand and you happen to met him, see him, please contact me either on private message or through a thread in this.

Thanks for all your help

Lee

Wow, so sorry to hear about this. I do hope you find Joel soon and that he's OK.

Just wondering if it might not be worth making an appeal in the Phuket Gazette or the Bangkok Post too? (If you haven't already done so).

Just a quick update:

Recovery orders have been issued by the Australian Federal Courts and I now have Jacinta back in my care. Joel is still out there somewhere and a Hague Convention case has just started. Please if anyone see them, let me know or notify the local police your sightings. We still think they might be in the Phuket area or may have gone to Koh Samui or Udon Thani as he has lived there as well.

Thx for the update, I and I am sure others were wondering how you were going in your quest. Heading to Samui in May, you never know, someone may soon be in the right place at the right time.
In our thoughts....

Finally we have both children back, we tracked down Joel and Michael in Phuket, and a court case was held on Thursday and Friday and the court ruled that Joel was to be returned to his mum. So we now have all the kids together again with their mum. I am so pleased that all three courts in all three countries have made the same decision. Just hope that we never have to repeat all of this ever again. Thanks for all your good wishes and support.

Congratulations. And all sorted in 2 months is really quick as well (even though it may have seem long to you).
