Talking Making friends

Any suggestions on hotspots to meet other travelers or farangs? I plan on moving to Thailand and would like to make friends ahead of time. Please try not to suggest clubs or bars. Thanks

You don't say where in Thailand you'll be based, so that makes it difficult to suggest "hotspots". As for bars/clubs there's not much else for farangs to do after dark in Thailand.
English teaching is about the only work available to farang. There are many teaching opportunities for western females. You'll find it easy to get teaching work, expect a monthly salary of around 30,000 Bt.

If you want to make friends ahead of time (ie before you actually get to Thailand) then you might be better asking around locally.

Unless there are any Californians on this forum?
