Smile Choeng Mon Samui

Hi All,
When we last visited Samui (Aug 07) i heard that Otto's Bar (on the beach at Choeng) was due to be closed, this was because a new resort was going to be built. just wondered if any one can confirm this. We usually spend our days chilling on Choeng Mon Beach and Otto's was a fab place for good food and drinks. Also can anyone recomend any other quiet chilled out beaches in samui. We will be back on this beautifull island in August with our 3 children. I spent loads of time looking for a different destination for our family holiday, but after a family meeting yes you guessed it , we all decided that Samui was the place to go !! so looking forward to our 7th visit, may be catch up with anyone in August

We love chongmon beach and spend many a day there.
I had heard that they were going to demolish bars to build but have not heard if they have done this.
Try trip advisor on the samui page forum and someone who is there or been recently may be able to tell you.
Was last there last May
