Thailand Sun Don't forget to go to

Central, the department store, as they have a whole floor given over to traditional Thai products at very reasonable prices. I had been looking for ages for "Baan Paai" I think it is called (the original high quality engraved bronze bowls used by monks - now they use plastic because no-one wants to pay that much any more!) - low and behold Central had a display of it from the last manufacturer, superb, takes pride of place in my main display cabinet (just below the ebony carvings) in our family lounge. I used to buy stuff from a shop in Phuket Town too, but they just buy from Bangkok and other areas themselves and mark it up. It also pays to look for the very rustic looking top grade silk. I do not profess to know Bangkok shopping that well, but everywhere you go there are shops with things for sale you just could not imagine, like dried spiders and sewerage pumps (not suggesting the later os of interest to you, but it is amazing how you walk down a street and see so many things for sale).

Being that you are buying for business, you might want to check out OTOP.
This site will tell you everything you want to know about this project.
You will miss the trade shows, but you will see a button on the left of the page OTOP Centers/Shops. These could fit right in with the type of products you are looking for, at very good prices.
