Thailand Sun A couple of questions re the up & coming trip!

Hi everyone

I hope you are all well and that you haven't missed me too much! Haha : )

Again, my apologies for being a stranger - I've been very busy lately living life and finally enjoying it again!

I have a couple of Thailand related questions if I may… : )

As some of you know, the girls were planning a surprise for me for my birthday - the surprise being that they were taking me to Thailand for my birthday! As it turns out (and is always the way with me), the trip has now been postponed. We have already booked to go flying Tiger Airways on 25 March and we were staying for 2 weeks. We knew the weather would be excellent around this time. If we do postpone the trip, we are looking to schedule it for either late April or mid May. Can anybody tell me what the weather is like around this time? We will be doing the islands (i.e. Koh Samui, Phuket, Phi Phi and Koh Phangan) so I was just wondering what sort of weather we could expect if we were to choose these dates.

Also, can anybody let me know what the weather is like in September in Koh Samui - this is just out of curiousity more so than anything else though.

And finally, does anybody know whether Tiger Airways do credit notes and if so, if they charge a fee for rescheduling a flight?

As always, thanks for your help with this. It's much appreciated!

Ali x

HI Ali,
Good to have you back on board.
The weather in May-June in Samui should be fine. I jave been in late May/ early June and had nothing but sunshine, however, the Andaman sea (Phuket/Krabi/Phi Phi) will be beginning it's monsoon season in May, so expect rain and the seas will be rougher than in march.
I have also been to Samui in september and had great weather for the first half of the month and then a lot of rain during the last week or so. Late August would be safer.
Sorry to hear that you need to postpone, I am fairly certain you will have to pay a re-scheduling fee as you do with any budget carrier. I hope that they will allow changes, some promotional fares do not.

Smile I like

the Andaman (Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi, Lanta) in May as the weather is still generally very good but there are fewer tourists and better deals

BTW Hi Ali
