Found an excellent hotel at a great price. Right in the middle of Patong, this hotels is 5 star and offers so many comforts. Highly recommended! Great Breakfast! Large rooms....easily fit 3 or 4 people in standard room

Thankyou for your post, I am looking for good accomodation . Do you think the standard room is sufficient vs the deluxe room. did you look at the deluxe rooms by any chance? can you walk to all the shops easily. I have a bad knee so do not do hills well

Friends of ours have just stayed at the Millenium and we went and saw them there when we were in Patong ... their room was like a PALACE!!! Certainly compared to our rooms at the Patong Merlin anyway. I wd recommend this place to anyone, its brand new, very modern decor and just gorgeous, although Id prob say its more for couples, (ie. no screamin kids!!!) They booked online with Wotif for a standard room I think for half the time (price about $127 per nite for 2) and then for a pool access room for some of the time (I dont know how much this was) but then they were upgraded to a suite (which is what we saw) and it was just amazingly gorgeous and H U G E !!!! Def worth a look at ... Id love to stay there (if I didnt have kids with me!)
