Default Krabi for 10 nights?

I am flying round-trip from BKK to Krabi on March 9th and returning on the 19th. My plan was to spend a couple of days in various places, maybe offshore here and there and some mainland spots. My interests are mainly reef and jungle. I see some National Parks to the north and south. Can any of you recommend some key spots to hit in a 10 day visit? There must be some great snorkeling/dive spots. There are also quite a few caves listed as natural attractions scattered throughout. I don't mind getting off the beaten path and away from general tourism. Thanks in advance.

Exclamation You know

I like Krabi very much but wish I had speant some time further south (past Lanta even) where they do have some national park islands you can visit and even stay on, plus great snorkelling I hear. Krabi or rather the islands off Krabi, the snorkelling is OK at best IMHO. I did get to snorkel with some medium sized jelly fish (the non nasty kind) and that was great, but otherwise it was only OK.

I booked my flight in and out of Krabi, taking advantage of a sale that BKK Airways just had that worked well into my travel dates. I anticipate traveling up or down the coast to where ever I can get to. I figure with the time I have allowed myself there in the south, I should be able to cover some ground. I figure a couple days on Phi Phi or thereabouts will be enough to make me search out some new spots.

Krabi remains one of my fav places but why not try visiting islands like Koh rok, koh mook where the emerald cave is located. Swimming through the cave into the beach enclosed in the island is a great experienece.

This is the entrance to the emerald cave

Also went for a hike in the trang region, Quite a number of waterfalls and also visited the sakai people

Very much less touristy down south in the trang area.

Enjoy atheris !
