Default monks blessing

Does anyone know how to go about getting a blessing from monks. I am thinking about Samui. How would we go about it?

Is it indiscreet to ask what it's for? I can't help much though I went to a wedding once...they seemed to require money in multiples of 9...lucky number ...100B note would not do, we had to give a 99B tip.

Just go to a temple, and ask to talk with the abbot. With 33 years of marriage, I'm sure he would be most willing to talk with you, and give you a blessing. It's not really an organized thing with you paying so much money to be blessed. Showing your respect, and interest is usually enough, but if you want to donate there is usually a box somewhere. There's nothing wrong with making merit.

Have fun.
