Default Thailand wedding

Hi everyone,
my fiance and i are looking at getting married in phuket or koh samui next july.
im hoping someone out there has some hotel recommendations?
We have been looking at the Katathani / le meridian.....however there will be approx 10 children as well as 40 other guests and we want to ensure there are good childs facilities also - ie: kids pools etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
i had actually looked at the Nora Beach previously and thought it looked lovely.
Id love any information you could supply....
and your right, its very daunting trying to organise something so far away and somewhere you have never been...i have been to phuket but not koh samui.
i think i understand the legal requirements, but any hotel, reception, wedding location you could supply would be great...
Thanks

Default Wedding Info

HI
I'm not quire sure were to start but here goes. Nora was fantastic we were staying in one of their beach front villas which were just stunning and also had a little free form pool adjoined to the villa itself which was great fun to jump out of you living room window strait into the pool. We had our ceremony directly in front of the villa on the sand over looking the water. The pictures are just stunning. They set it all up so beautifully with a big flower arch which you stand just in front of when taking your vowels and a little isle for you to walk down with chairs on ether side for your guests. All beautifully decorated with flowers and the back drop to all of this is the water behind and a little island to your right. The reception was in their beach front open air restaurant which was private enough for you to feel separated from other guests dining. Although they did fail to tell us that they were having a Lady Boy show on the same night but we spoke up and they moved it down onto the beach and we didn't hear a thing. The food was amazing the guy who organizes the food and beridge does his job so so well there was a guy cooking seafood which my husband still talks about the size of the oysters to this day. And the variety was amazing everything that you could imagine steak, seafood, choose what you want and the man grills it right in front of you. They also had all the buffet style curries, fried rice’s, spare ribs, salads, it was just amazing for the price you pay it was well worth it. As for the resort it self it is on a very steep hill and it quite a way for your guest to get to the reception site as it is right down the bottom on the beach. They do have little golf buggies though to transfer everyone down. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions we are seasoned travelers to Samui and are heading over for our 5th visit in April. All of our family and friends really enjoy Samui as it isn't as busy and full on as Phuket. Here is my e-mail address if you want to contact with any more questions. carlystone@hotmail.com i can also send you some picture of the resort and villa if you like. Good luck

Default phuket

I heard Poppa Palace Hotel in Phuket has nice and cheap accomodations. They have pool areas and playgrounds for kids to enjoy.
