just wondering how long it would to take to get from from patong beach to rawai beach? and the best mode of transport? (without hiring a car)

I would say at least about 25 minutes. Motorbike or Tuk tuk.

With the latter, this would be very expensive! On the bike, if you go over the hill, by the elephant camp, it is a very nice route!
