Smile Transport from Chiang mai Airport to hotel

Hello, We will be visiting Thailand for the first time next month. The first part of our trip, we will be staying aprox. 45min north of Chiang Mai at Baan Rai Lanna resort.
What is the easiest way to get to our resort from the airport that is also reasonable in cost? I believe our hotel offers transport for around $50 usd... is that reasonable?
Thank you!
Sabine :)

Thailand Sun It's not unreasonable

Given they will be meeting and greeting you. It is not local taxi rate, no, but then I always am concerned about just arriving with bags full of goodies and wallets full of dollars that you are a target for criminals. Personally, I'd pay the US$50 no problem.

Mark is absolutely right. If it your first time let them make you impressive with the warm welcome, May be you could get 20$ Cheaper on Transport but I would Say and Agree to use Hotels Chauffeur Drive
