Last year we went to the Cook Islands and Air New Zealand changed their schedules after we had paid in full, this meant we had to overnight in Auckland both ways extending our holiday by 2 days. Air NZ picked up the cost of the hotel but not the food. However, one Air NZ guy did say to check your travel insurance... yeah right! They only cover for unforeseen events during the journey, knowing about it prior is not unforeseen.
I'm no expert but if you have already paid in full then the flights are changed the airline should cover the costs... Check it with your travel agent.
Are you the same Jo that posted 'elsewhere' I see the thread has been deleated... I knew it would, I was amazed it lasted as long as it did :-)
