As one of your daughters is 12 years of age, this will be seen as being an adult. Not very easy to get a hotel that will let all of you stay in the one room (3 adults, 1 child).
You are better looking at getting inter-connecting rooms or a 2 bedroom apartment.
If you don't mind using the train system, a great value for money hotel we stayed in was the Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel. We booked the Club Rooms as it was such a good rate.
You are attached to a shopping mall, and metro station which gives you easy access around Bangkok.
This shopping mall has great computer gear, food court, also a big supermarket aswell as other bits and bobs. You can get massages here very cheaply too.
The breakfast in the main lobby area was brilliant.
