we also are going to Pattaya,yes it is pretty full on but so can i be lol.We will also go and spend a few nights in bangkok and im thinking of maybe some time in Udon Thani.We are staying in a small place in central pattaya,which is a hidden gem and a large room,40 sq mts,but without a pool and no lift but we are only on the first floor of 3.I stayed there for a couple of weeks last year and it is only 2 yr old but very cheap.
