Normally there is a bus from Surat Airport to the ferry pier not sure of how often or the cost but would imagine it would in tandem with the air schedule.I wouldn`t as Ott said consider a taxi from Surat to Samui,you can as Ott said go to a travel shop if you want or just head to the ferry pier where you can book your ferry trip.There will be touts out & about at the ferry pier trying to talk you into most things just ask one of these about an A/C van to your hotel & see what he quotes you,should be somewhere around 100 Baht pp.If your not comfortable doing that when the ferry lands at Nathon there will be vans,cars,songtaews,taxi`s all keen to offer you a ride to your hotel just negioate a price before you move.
