The are LOADS of shopping malls and depatment stores near Siam Square. Yes, there's Zen but the biggest one is the Paragon which opened last year. It has direct access from the skytrain and is huge and pretty upmarket...if hubby/kids get bored with clothes shopping they can go have a look at sharks in giant aqaurium, check out state of the art computers or home entertainment systems or buy a sports car. (They sell Ferraris upstairs) There's a vast international food hall downstairs too if you're feeling peckish.
As far as clothes go, there are luxury foreign haute couture shops but there's also a big department store with just about every brand name available in Thailand so you should find what you're looking for.
