if it's a software program you must have and plan on using, buy authentic so warranty is good, can update softwarev via internet, also troubleshoot if necessary. also you will get the full program as some don't include all that is advertised or is an older version with newer cover.
if still buying, make sure it doesn't need an authorization code/key code to install, or have to register to install, as it is a copy and already registered by someone, somewhere.
that said, there are some bargains out there. i have and use photoshop 7, has everything i need and it was a mere 100 baht. if you have a laptop, that would be best, test before buying. also nice to have if buying movie dvd's and music.

you also may want to discard the plastic cd container and put actual disc in multiple disc case the kids use for music and place the paperwork for software/instructions and such in pocket of suitcase, as customs sometimes checks and notices these things and will confiscate software. of course easy to notice if you have 20 of them, a couple would be missed.
