If you want a more upmarket experience, there are heaps and heaps of spa places. Usually attached to the hotels.
Pure heaven.
Also, if you want to buy the "tiger balm" type cream they use I found them in the pharmacy. I paid 60 baht for quite a large tub (MBK Bangkok) and it was 40 for the smaller one. It's not tiger balm, but very similiar. Like tiger balm petroleum jelly :-)
They are in glass jars, Thai writing on the outside, no pictures, paste is yellow in colour with a blue lid. Just smelling it brings back the memories.
