That was recommended by Stickman (he has a wellknown website about Thailand) is Evergreen Place (see link). I've only seen it from the pool area at the Asia Hotel but it looks OK (and a decent sized pool) Evergreen has the advantage of being only 50m from a skytrain stop (less time walking in the heat)and it's on a direct line to the nearest BTS stop for the hospital. However you'll still need to walk from the skytrain stop to the hospital unless you use a taxi (which are all A/C and relatively cheap though there is a 35B minimum charge)
